December 4: Bright and Festive Bird Acrylic Painting Class

Ages: 8+ (starting 3rd grade and up)

Our "Bright and Festive Bird" acrylic painting class! This studio workshop is designed to be a lively, hands-on experience where students of all skill levels can dive into the colorful world of acrylics while learning essential painting techniques.

Students can change the quote on their canvas. Be sure to bring it with you. 

What to Expect:

• Layering with Acrylics:
  One of the highlights of this class is mastering the layering process. You will discover how to build up your painting step-by-step, starting with background washes and gradually adding details and vibrant colors. This approach not only brings your festive bird to life but also helps you understand how depth and dimension are created in acrylic art.
  
  
• Exploring Brush Styles:
  Throughout the class, we will experiment with a variety of brush types—flat, round, and detail brushes. You will learn why artists choose specific brushes for certain effects and get to try them out yourself. This hands-on exploration will help you see how brush choice impacts texture, line quality, and overall style.

Classes are held at The Craft Room located at 516 South Street Door D, in Sheridan, IN. Door D is located in the back of the retail space.
