WWPL | March 13 - April 24, 2026: Elementary Art Class theme - Art Around the World @ WWPL

This session of the WWPL art classes will focus on the theme “Art Around the World”, where students will explore different cultures and traditions through folk art, as well as themed projects relating to the country.

Each country or region visited will inspire projects that highlight unique artistic styles, techniques, and stories. By the end of the session, students will have a collection of artworks inspired by different regions of the world, showcasing their understanding of cultural art forms and their ability to apply diverse artistic techniques.

Students will experiment with a variety of art mediums and tools, encouraging creativity and hands-on learning. These include:

• Paints (watercolor, acrylic)
• Drawing tools (pencils, charcoal, pens, markers)
• Mixed media supplies for collage
• Printmaking tools and surfaces

Elementary age students have studio time of 10:30 am-12 (noon) on Fridays. 

One additional thing we will be adding to this workshop is for everyone to bring a sketchbook to class. In the sketchbook we will be working on various art techniques and for you to try them at home. But also a time to share artwork that students have created at home to share if desired.

Classes are held at Westfield Washington Public Library located at 
17400 Westfield Blvd, Westfield, IN 46074.
