January 9 – February 27, 2026: Elementary Art Class theme of Animals @ WWPL

This session of the WWPL art classes centers on the theme “Animals”, inviting students to explore the beauty and diversity of creatures from various environments such as the rainforest, ocean, jungle, desert, and arctic.

Through guided lessons and creative exploration, students will study how animals are represented through different artistic techniques.

Objectives

• Develop an understanding of animals within different biomes and ecosystems.
• Explore artistic styles and techniques
• Experiment with various media, including drawing, painting, collage, and sculpture.
• Build a cohesive collection of pieces that demonstrate growth in artistic skill and conceptual understanding.

Elementary age students have studio time of 10:30 am-12 (noon) on Fridays. 

Classes are held at Westfield Washington Public Library located at 
17400 Westfield Blvd, Westfield, IN 46074.
